BeReady.study Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BeReady Global LLC(“BeReady,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with BeReady.study (the “Service”).
BeReady is a tool teachers use to run their teaching. Teachers create the student and parent accounts that belong to their own students and families, and this policy should be read with that in mind.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information we collect depends on your role.
Teachers: account and profile information, schedules and teaching information, lesson and class records, teaching materials, notes, policies, and connected-storage information.
Students: username and display name, learning level and goals, lesson and attendance records, homework and quiz work, workbook activity and annotations, handwriting or images submitted for an assignment, SpeakReady voice recordings and transcripts, vocabulary and learning progress, AI-generated educational analysis, and teacher notes.
Student accounts generally use a synthetic BeReady email address rather than the student's own personal email.
Parents: name, optional contact information, the link to their child's account, messages with teachers, and notification and language preferences.
We also process ordinary technical and security information needed to operate accounts and protect the Service.
Public website pages: we measure aggregate usage of our public pages — our home page, public teacher profile pages, and these policy pages — using a privacy-focused website analytics service. This measures page views and visits, and records the page path, approximate country, the website you came from, and your browser, operating system and device type. It does not identify you, and it is not used on the signed-in parts of the Service.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use this information to provide teaching, learning, communication, and account features; to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the functionality of the Service; to provide AI-powered educational features described below; and to comply with legal obligations.
We do not use personal information for advertising, and we do not build marketing profiles from it.
3. STUDENTS AND CHILDREN'S INFORMATION
BeReady is an educational platform, and children may use student accounts.
Student accounts are created and managed in connection with a teacher, who manages the student information entered into BeReady. Where a parent has a linked Parent Portal account, they can see information the teacher shares about their child.
We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to provide the educational service to that student.
A parent or guardian can contact us using the details below with questions about their child's information, including requests to review or remove it.
4. AI-POWERED FEATURES
BeReady uses AI to provide educational features such as lesson analysis, homework tools, writing and quiz analysis, SpeakReady speaking practice, learning feedback, and other teacher-requested educational assistance.
Depending on the feature, we may send the information needed to provide it — such as text, homework, answers, transcripts, voice or audio, images or handwriting, and relevant learning context — to our AI service provider. Our current AI service provider is OpenAI. We use this information to provide the requested educational feature and related learning results.
5. CONNECTED STORAGE — GOOGLE DRIVE AND ONEDRIVE
Teachers may optionally connect Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive so they can work with teaching files through BeReady.
For Google Drive, BeReady uses Google's narrow per-file permission (drive.file). This limits our access to files the teacher selects for BeReady and files BeReady creates through the teacher's own actions — we do not request general access to a teacher's entire Google Drive. Students do not connect their own Google accounts for this feature. BeReady may read, edit, save, or create authorized workbook copies as needed to provide the functionality the teacher requested.
BeReady's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
For OneDrive, teachers can similarly connect their account so BeReady can work with authorized teaching files on their behalf.
Disconnecting a storage account, or removing a workbook from BeReady, does not automatically delete the teacher's original files in their cloud storage.
6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share information with the service providers that help us operate BeReady, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (file storage, and analytics for our public website pages), OpenAI (AI features), and, where a teacher connects them, Google or Microsoft.
We may also share information where required by law, to protect the rights and safety of BeReady or our users, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
BeReady does not sell personal information, does not use student information for advertising, does not run advertising on the Service, and does not use third-party behavioral advertising or marketing trackers.
7. DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, maintain required records, and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Different types of information may have different retention periods.
Deleting an account, student record, or other data may cause associated BeReady information to be removed as part of our normal deletion processes.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGY
BeReady uses functional cookies and similar technology, such as authentication and session cookies, a short-lived cookie used during the cloud-storage connection process, and a cookie that remembers your language preference.
We do not currently use advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies.
Our public-website analytics does not use cookies, local storage, or device fingerprinting, and does not follow you across other websites. It runs only on the public pages described in section 1, and it sends measurement data to Cloudflare.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING
BeReady Global LLC is a U.S. company. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, by BeReady and by the service providers listed above.
10. YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a copy of your information, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
You or your parent/guardian can contact us using the details below to exercise applicable privacy rights. We handle these requests directly rather than through an automated self-service tool.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
